My husband and I were living in Boston during 9/11 and personally lost 2 of our friends in the horrific attacks. The never-ending feelings of New Yorkers, Bostonians and folks in the DC area are truly profound and should not be underestimated by Americans living in other parts of the country. My husband and I attended funerals with no bodies or caskets and I can assure you, that the experience is both numbing and still surreal.

Ironically, Congress actually sets the limit. They inform the Treasury Department as to just how much debt they are allowed to sell. Here's where it really becomes astonishing. Our national debt "limit" is now 291 times higher than the original limit! Way to go Congress! And thank you Mr. President, you sure know how to tighten the old belt!
